There are types A (Japan), B (US), C (EU), D (India), E (France), F (Germany), G (UK), H (Israel), I (AU) and so on: in which all have a distinct plug shape and differences in prongs. Type A plug is just two straight prongs without a ground while Type B is nearly identical to A but with a ground connection and Type F has no ground attached to the outlet while Type E does, usually this is solved with a adapter (for electronics that are dual voltage and support 50/60Hz frequency).

There are examples I’ve seen but not are all obvious unless you knew beforehand:

Let me start by saying that I am in no way trying to be racist or anti-Semitic. I truly do not understand the mental gymnastics that these people are doing. I’ve been wondering for quite a while is how can America have so many white christian nationalists, and people who are completely freaking racist about EVERYONE not white christians, but all the while they seem to support Israel which is a Jewish state. Which goes completely against the white christian nationalist movement. How do these people reconciliate those two things? Are they just complete hypocrites in their beliefs?

It’s kinda strange to imagine a person’s face being locked out of the arts because a character or actor who looked like them got there first.

It’s weird because Switzerland is one of the most armed countries in Europe, as in they have firearms but barely any shootings of any kind (so you don’t often hear news equivalent to a guy shooting students in a classroom or killing people at a shopping mall over there). I googled it and it seems to be a bunch of stuff about abstract sets. As someone who did ok in math at high school, I find it hard to understand why people are so obsessed with sets. They’re just collections of elements and should be very simple, right? So why do we need complicated equations to describe them?

Over my years I’ve owned many types of non-stick pans. Judge me as you see fit, but I’ve owned Teflon, stainless steel, ceramic, and cast iron pans, but none of them seem to stay “non-stick” for more than a few years. I’ve had the best luck with cast iron, but my wife doesn’t like to use them because they’re heavy. I hand wash them all with soap and water, but they all seem to lose their ability to shed off what I cook in them. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good non-stick pan?

I have a ground floor brick apartment so I’m pretty well insulated from the summer heat for most of the day. If I can get the apartment cold enough at night by running fans (ventilation), I can often make it through the day without turning on the A/C.

I don’t leave food out. Garbage gets tossed, counters are cleaned. I replaced half the windows in my home and caulked up the rest. I bought a salt gun and have been picking them off but there’s always more.

The sad wildfires in spain made me wonder this, especially as climate change means there’ll be more fires. I know groups like disabled people and their families are slower to get out, causing risk. But is it more that the fire is too fast, or that some people just don’t leave fast enough?
