Is there an immutable Linux distro (like openSUSE MicroOS, Fedora Silverblue) that can run on the Raspberry Pi Zero W?

I have a Raspberry Pi Zero and I have attached it to the Waveshare 9.7" e-ink display. What I want to do is to make this a typing machine (I am aware of the screen refresh rate). The simplest version of this would be to run LibreOffice.

I've read rumors in various places that another Pi 500 version at a separate price point with perhaps an SSD slot might be in the works. Also, obviously there would be another RAM tier to use, if there were ever to be a version targeting power users.

I've been looking at some Linux based phones and one thing that caught my eye was a Pi based build.

I bought a raspberry pi 5 when it came out. I've never managed to boot it. Sad, isn't it?

Hi folks, I'm running a pi4 with rpiOS and had been using rdp to log into my pi that has no peripherals connected. I can still ssh in and I do have physical access but this kinda bothers me.

Pi Cap has everything I need for my project in terms of function, however their howto page has 2022 update stating that Bullseye does not work with it and one needs to use Buster. I would appreciate any pointers.

I'm notbtue smartest person and I consider myself tech cursed. Had a pi4 for a while, used it for retropi for a few weeks by the the became kinda bothersome. The one time I managed to get pihole running on it it blocked not just ads but entire sites so that wasn't ideal. For the pi 5 I used it for a Minecraft server but I had to restart every other day for some reason to be usable.

I'm thinking about an IoT Polar Aligner. The main idea is to use a Raspberry Pi W with the camera module to find and detect the North Star and display it on the mobile phone. The final goal is to connect it with servos so that it can automatically align itself. Does anyone know of a similar open source project?

Hello everyone, looks like we will start on building our dream home this year. I do want to set up a raspberry for automated photo shooting from the construction site. One picture per day is enough, I do want to create a timelapse video afterwards. The new neighbour is a friend, he allowed me to set up the camera in his house facing the construction site. Can anyone suggest a plug and play USB mic for my raspberry pi (that you've used and know it works). I've managed to avoid work meetings on teams for a long time but there's one I can't get out of and my laptop broke so I'm computing only on my pi for the time being. I can't seem to get it to work. I always get these errors in the terminal when running the spi flash tool that they recommend: ```Connecting to BROM... Scanning USB port... Search usb, timeout set as 3600000 ms

I don't get a very detailed error message but it fails and tells me to try reinserting it. I've tried a few times. It fails at different percentages sometimes. Any thoughts or ways to get a more detailed error message? I have Mac and Linux too.

Hey all! I wanted to build/buy a retro gaming console with Raspberry Pi to play roms. What is the simplest way to do this? Can I buy a Raspberry Pi that has RetroPi installed already, then just dump my roms onto it?

I have a Raspberry Pi 02W running Pi-Hole and ordinarily things work perfectly, but I've got something in my house tripping my fuse box which I'm unable to locate. The tripper, not the fuse box. Anyway, what it means is occasionally, I lose power and so my router and my Pi-Hole go down.

I've been using Chromecasts and it's gotten so slow and buggy. I was trying to cast from VLC on my phone to it and I had a ton of trouble getting it to show up and connect and after I finished streaming from my phone I tried to switch to the YouTube app and it just kept on crashing.

My laptop is having a tantrum and seems like it needs a hard-drive replacement. Not a major issue, I've been thinking about switching to a SFF Desktop for a while.

I want to build my own portable E-Reader like a Tolino/Kindle in DIN-A5 format (I know there are similar projects, like the Open Book from joeycastillo, but I want to make my own just for fun). I'm considering using the Compute Module 4 from Raspberry Pi. That, at least according to my theories, would have the advantage of me not needing to create my own OS, and the availability of already existing EPUB/HTML (EPUB is essentially just HTML) & PDF parsers and UI libraries hopefully makes my life easier. I don't want to use a default Raspberry Pi, because I don't need all the ports and I want the size of the E-Reader to be not unnecessarily thick.

Does anyone know of and can recommend something I can install that will give me stats like temperature, power consumption, memory utilisation and processor utilisation?
