With 145 Firefox added passwords to the sidebar. I also just found out that Video DownloadHelper uses the sidebar. I did not knew extensions could do that!
Just noticed @firefox added a slop-generator "AI" search to my search engines without notifying me. I didn't even update Firefox, they somehow did this in real-time. I gotta get off this train.
Coucou les mastosÇa y est avec leur ajout d'IA à la c** @firefox a définitivement réussi à me gonfler. un/des navigateur.s à conseiller comme alternative ? Des conseils sur des #fork de #firefox éventuellement
So this has been happening for maybe a week and a half for me. Basically on live streams on YouTube when I go to fullscreen, it instead makes the video take up part of the screen, with the rest black (imagine Twitch theater mode but the chat area is just black).
I woke up one day and Fennec wouldn't browse any web page. Like, if I do a search, which goes to DuckDuckGo, I get a loading bar that never goes anywhere. (See screenshot).
For the past few weeks I've been building my own Fork of Firefox with Fediverse integration. After sharing my build on Lemmy several people asked if it were possible to just have the Lemmy Discussion extension as a stand alone, so here it is: https://codeberg.org/rozodru/LemmyBridge
2025 is the year I'm experimenting with my tooling like browsers again: @googlechrome > @ArcBrowser > @vivaldibrowser > @apples Safari > back to Chrome > @firefox . Yes right, after many years I am giving FF a chance again.
Mailing from @firefox@lemmy.world @firefox@lemmy.ml @firefox ......First of all our presence on their mailing list is shared with Google (fonts.googleapis) and via Braze Social (US) it's also going to AWS.....Yes, you are doing a brilliant job to protect our privacy at mozilla!
i was setting up an instance on a new computer and i went to turn it off but i noticed it wasn't there; did they get rid of it (hopefully)? or did they move it someplace?
I've got an HTML file on my phone, and would like to view it. But Firefox on Android has neither a menu entry "Open File", nor does using the file:// method work, nor is any app associated with the .html file extension.
Since FF 140 I'm getting an icon next to the url whenever I'm opening a website with DRM embedded content, such as discord if someone posted a link to some audio player.
I hadn't updated my Firefox Nightly on Android for a while (two releases), and just did. However, the new toolbar mentioned here disappeared! I had gotten pretty reliant on being able to open a new tab or go forward with a single tap. Anyone know if there's a way for me to get it back?
In the documentation https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/Progressive_web_apps/Guides/Installing mozilla says you need to install this extension.
Solution: I found this this bugzilla comment which links to this page for time formatting. I changed intl.date_time.pattern_override.time_short to h:mm a so it shows 4:26PM. There's an open bugzilla report for my issue: Date not formatted according to user's locale (LC_TIME).
