I bought Armored Core 6 shortly after it was released on the PS4 (one of the few games I paid for full price for). I enjoyed it very much the 1st playthrough. Stopped during my 2nd or 3rd playthrough.

Before I deep dive into my option about a game. I just want to preface that while some people believe that we should be forced into whichever house the sorting hat puts us in. We all can choose which house we feel we belong in. Like Harry in the first book, and in the movies and in this game So please keep this in mind since we are talking about a game here.

As some of you know, there were a couple of L4D-influenced games, like Killing Floor, Dead Island and Yakuza: Dead Souls for some reason.

In my case there's a huge timeframe between 2008 and 2025 I have played mainly multiplayer games like Tibia, Runescape, Realm of Mad God, Counter-Strike, Killing Floor and rarely touched singleplayer games.

Off the top I'll say that Wasteland 2 isn't a bad game, its actually quite good in a lot of ways. The ways in which it isn't though are what really end up hurting the game for me.

Usually I’d be making this post from my main account, cod, but for some reason I’ve tried posting multiple times today and it hasn’t let me, it keeps giving me an error. So here we go! Weekly post from a different account this week. Hopefully next week I can go back to my main again.

Let's start by saying that while the game is still early access, it has been playable for years. It first released in 2021, and has been continuously updated since (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timberborn#Development). To be fair, with what is possible in the game now, I would consider it a complete game.

I'm looking for action hidden gems, preferably scripted and linear—no open world or procuderal generation (roguelike, roguelike-like, or roguelite)

Hello. The past few months Ive been almost exclusively playing fantasy and survival games, so much so that I need a break from them.

So I just finished Shadow Warrior (2013) and I wasn’t blown away by it but I had a decent time. I always like hearing about experiences that people had with the game when it first came out and whether or not a modern perspective paints it differently.

I got a free month of Game Pass and am digging into whatever's interesting as a result, and man, I'm really glad I finally tried Clone Drone in the Danger Zone, even though it did not actually look like my kind of game; I just let myself be influenced by Steam's overwhelmingly positive reviews—and they're all correct!

I played the original silent hill for the first time without knowing anything about the series and i think i am missing something.

Hello peeps. Life’s thrown me some curve-balls recently, and I’d like a bit of an escape. Can anyone recommend a decent game in the vein of Skyrim, Fallout or Deus Ex/System Shock for the steam deck, that isn’t 25 or 30 quid please? Something on offer for less than a tenner would be ideal. I’m sure there are some great older RPGs out there that I’ve missed, the Deck is the first time I’ve got back into gaming for quite a few years, and while I’m sure I could quite happily just play Brotato for the next few years, I reckon there’s something a bit more immersive out there for me to find!

I have had playstation for a while, but aside from Petz, Rollercoaster tycoon, and the sims <4 I never had a pc that could handle games.

Not sure how I got the idea, but somehow I ended up searching for Life is Strange on Steam, noticed the first episode (of the original) was free and installed it.

This one kind of flew under the radar for me back when it came out but with all the hype surrounding the sequel, it seemed like a great time to play the first game ($30 USD).

I have a bit of an obsession with the Need for Speed series, and while I've played all of them, I haven't completed all of them (the ones with a campaign at least). So I started playing through the remainder a while back.

TL;DRIt was a surprising experience - in both positive and negative ways. Worth a shot if you like virtual photography and janky indie games.

This game is unbelievable for an indie dev to create for free. Production values are through the roof. It plays like Zero Mission on the GBA and arguably does a better job of remaking the classic than the official 3DS Samus Returns game.

I’d never played TLOU before, but was recently looking for something new to play and heard great things about it. My parents watched the show and loved it, so I decided to give it a shot. It took me a little bit to get into, but once I did I got hooked hard. I beat the game and then went on to watch the show with my wife, she loved it and now wants to watch me play Part II. Unfortunately that means I can only play it when she’s around, and given we both work shift work, means it might take me a long time to beat Part II, but it’s incredible so far. I’m not too far into it yet though so no spoilers for Part II please.

I don't usually have much time to play games, so I have missed most games when they were popular.

I was especially fond of M&M 6 7 and 8 as a kid. I have also played the most recent, 10, which while different and flawed in many ways, was still good enough to be enjoyable. I have also liked things like Wizardry 8 in the past.

Like, will there be a point in time where you think that with all of the games of yesteryear to play that are thousands and thousands, with thousands more forward ahead to be released. There's only so much time available to be playing so much in a lifetime.

Hearing that Civ 7 is going to have Steam Deck support is tempting me.

Also, I’m playing around with what day of the week to post this, and seeing what days get the best interaction. If you have a preference, please let me know!

I love the idea of getting older AAA titles for free, but hate the idea of installing the Epic Games Launcher on my computer. Where do you guys stand on this?

I don't think the game is all that good or fun(personally).

Do you have a game you play over and over, when nothing else fits your mood? That game that is infinitely re-playable, somewhat the same every time and somewhat new and interesting?

Lots of people have traditions for their favourite Christmas songs and Christmas movies, but I don’t see games get talked about as much. It makes sense, there’s not many Christmas video games, but does anyone have anything they like to play specifically around the holidays? For me, I always go back and play some Elder Scrolls games. I also tend to play a lot of racing games around Christmas (tradition with my dad), and of course most of my playtime in hockey games are during the winter. Does anyone else have anything they like to revisit, or any genres they save, for this time of year? I’d love to hear about it

Last December I did an end-of-year recap thing that got a lot of fun comments. Thought I'd do it again this year! What games did you complete (or just play a lot of)? What did you think about them? Highlights? Lowlights? Might be a good chance to find some hidden gems while the Steam sale is on too.

Trope or not, gods just end up being a common target for games about heroes escalating in power while fighting increasingly world-destroying consequences.

I have just finished the Half-Life series. Prompted by the 20th anniversary of HL2, I decided to play HL1 (1997), then HL2 (2004), and both episodes. I'm currently playing through Black Mesa and it's very enjoyable so far, it's like they took everything from HL1 and removed the annoying parts, I'm excited to see what more changes they decided to make, and what other references are present.

Just picked up DOS1 in the steam sale; just started playing only 4 hours into it. I started a tactician run, I've been party wiped about 8 times so far.

I've played Ghost Recon on and off since....well forever. I first played it on PS2, and it's the only game to get the honor of first install (and never uninstall) on every PC I've ever owned, paired with the incredible Heroes Unleashed mod. I'm going to try to explain why I still come back to it. I'll take you along with me via screenshots I took over my last few outings.
