Is there a better place for bicycling shitposts?

First time I’ve seen this. On an intercity train in Andalusia, Spain.

Taken earlier this month on the Cabo de Gata (Cat Cape, literally) in Almería province, southeastern Spain. Almería itself is faintly visible on the far side of the gulf. Getting there involved a two-hour battle with a terrible headwind down on the plain. Rarely have I so appreciated the motor assistance on my (regs-respecting) pedelec bike.

Saw this oddity last month in Murcia province, Spain. A dedicated bike path that extends for over 30 km and appears to have zero users. It follows the service road of the main RM-1 highway from Murcia city all the way to the coast (just south of Alicante). The service road has almost zero traffic (I passed two cars in 20 km), rendering the bike path completely superfluous, hence its state.

I use a bike poncho, it covers the legs, too, and limits sweating because it is open underneath. Decathlon sells them for cheap, and them works. There is also normal colors, but I prefer to be absurdly visible (I want to see who says “I didn’t seen him 🙂)

Today, about 40 nice people and I rode from brewery to brewery (beer optional, 6 stops) to celebrate the great Fall weather. It was fantastic and makes me sad for people who don’t ride. (Edit)

I’m commuting to work with this classic Japanese bike. But now im planning to buy my first bike for long travels, so wanted to get your thoughts on this gravel bike.

My unnecessarily fancy bike is 100% ready to ride: it took much less than expected, but I learned a lot along the way: cut steerer, route cables, shorten brake lines, set up Di2, tubeless tires, more bar tape practice and the list could go on. It was a lot of fun and I feel in complete control and knowledge of what I ride, it’s a good feeling.

The last component for my Specialized Aethos: 120mm aluminum stem, with titanium bolts. It's the S-Works branded lightweight stem now sold under the name "Roval Alpinist": either this branding change or the visibly corroded aluminium found on the screw threads was the reason it was reduced to less than 1/3 MSRP (plus maybe being 120mm length, but I don't think it's too uncommon). Galvanic corrosion had its good time, this must have sat on a shelf for some years. I cleaned everything up and assembly-greased every contact surface.

Build update: handlebars, saddle and pedals arrived!

Side note: drivers who lie about how accidents happen (and not just having a fuzzy memory, but flat-out lying), should face severe consequences.

Checked the frame and set it up for a couple of shots: I like the color more than I thought I would!

My first bike build journey has officially started: the frame I wrote about some days ago is on its way, and the wheels just came in! I hope you appreciate a couple of close-ups.
