Agreed with the phone/internet should not touch my watch… But if it calms someone, the communication between the watch and the phone is done over audio (not Bluetooth WiFi or USB). The phone beeps and the watch listens.
Not saying its immortal but a lot better than BLE or similar.
Probably not what you are looking for but I can’t help to post. A more facncy (and thus more expansive) version of Linage would be the Oceanus ( https://www.shoppinginjapan.net/casio-ocw-s100-1ajf ).
Even more fancy look into the Junghans Max Bill Mega Solar ( https://junghans-shop.com/collections/max-bill/max-bill-mega-solar/ ).
Both fancy watches with solar recharging and radio calibration… Although too expensive for every day wear. (I love my Casio Linage it’s an excellent daily driver. I would love the Junghans as a dress watch.)

Yes, you can always install all apps from play store but if you want to minimize data sent to Google this should be the last resort.
As said I would try and install the Aurora store and then install the app from there.
And if that does not work setup a private space with Google services and play store.
I’m running the pixel 10 but pixel version shouldn’t matter in most cases as far as I understand.

I’m in the same boat currently doing the same transition so perhaps someone with more experience should answer… But if you can stand an answer from one of those forbandede svenskere, here goes nothing.
I’m guessing MittID is similar to Swedish BankID used for all kinds of authentication, like for banks and taxes n stuff.
Currently BankID does not have a GitHub or similar release page so obtainium is out. I want to minimize the use of Google play as much as possible which leads me to install this via the Aurora store. So thats what I would try if I where you.
If I want to install an app I try these methods In order:
- Graphene is native app store (basically nothing here)
- Accrescent (up and coming but not much here either)
- Obtanium (find the GitHub page and add it in this app. Risky if the developers GitHub account is compromised… Less oversight than the stores but who knows how thoroughly they look through the apps)
- Aurora store. (Mirror of Google without needing a Google account. Gets a bit of flack from security people but what are you supposed to do when this is the only non-google way the app is made available?)
- Aurora store in a private space… puke with Google services installed. (The apps that ended up here are those dependent on Google Maps integration, Bolt Uber and the likes. Would be keen to here if there is another way to do these apps without Google maps)

Sweden reactivated our conscription duty in 2017 and then, since the law should be gender neutral, women were then also required to muster and serve if they where deemed needed by the armed forces.
For those looking in horror at Sweden for forcing young men and women into the military: In reality if you really don’t want to serve, then you will probably preform a lot worse than a person highly motivated to serve their country. Thus you will not be called upon by the armed forces to do conscription.
However with the troubling times we are in the Swedish armed forces require a lot more people to uphold the deterrence and that results in the bar for who gets called upon gets lowered.
