In midnight's maw where shadows loom,
I understand your silent scream.
The edge of night, a tomb-like room,
Where hope dissolves like a fevered dream.
In twilight's grip, we face our doom,
Eclipsed by sorrow’s endless stream.

I had just settled down to start #knitting a sweater when I noticed that the needles I was going to use were size 9 US and not 9mm. And guess what? I don't have 9mm 🙈 and there are no shops near me that sell the interchangeable brand that I need. I guess I'll have to wait until the Wool Warehouse delivers, then. 😒 @knitting
Los Angeles County firefighters try unsuccessfully to get water from a hydrant as they battle the Eaton Fire on January 8 in Altadena, Calif. Water demand for fighting the fires was so high that some hydrants were running dry.
So this one got some more than just the usual 'adjust contrast, desaturate, increase vibrance' treatment.
After seeing what someone made of my fog post with some local contrast etc, I thought I'd experiment a bit.
So I first did some work on the overall picture, toning down highlights, increasing ambiance, desaturating and setting the white balance a bit further to the cold side.
Last year there were two deer in the forrest by my house, now there's fiveof them. But I for one welcome our new deer overlords, even if they are an invasive species, they'll never be as invasive as humans... 🤔😂

The Nashoba Valley Weavers' Guild is hosting a really cool event combining two topics: deflected doubleweave and zero waste textiles! Deflected doubleweave is a technique where you get all these cool organic shapes that only really become apparent once it's off the loom:
Just hoping someone here can give me info on the pin out of the power lead so I can buy a replacement. I contacted 3dSystems, and they sent me the EoL package along with the code to unlock the printer. The EoL package has not been helpful for the power supply issue, and weeks of combing the web and forums has come up with nothing. So I'm hoping someone here can help me out.

Their mask is half Bat-like, sleek and intimidating, and half painted with a twisted grin. The character is exuding an aura of order and chaos in a dimly lit, graffiti-streaked Gotham alley
This is one of three or four paintings I painted a long time ago. Basically the ball of light in the center is like awakening or transformation. The worker is leaving the suffering of daily life and will join the village on the mountain.
@knitting I've just finished recording my yarn stash on #YarnBuddie. I've got four under-bed storage containers full of yarn, two of which the lids won't close 🤔 😱 😂 . The other two close with zips - just! #SquishedYarnI hate to think of the value of it all. 🙈
Long story short, I am not mechanically inclined. I want my shit to just work. Somehow I decided I would order the MK4S upgrade kit for the prusa MK4 that I have. It took me about 12 hours but I did the upgrade and turned it on only to find it wouldn't boot with a power panic error message.
Working sleeves two at a time saves me from Second Sleeve/Sock Syndrome. I always debate whether to do them after I finish the body or when I split the sleeves off... I've done the current sweater after and I think this might be the way forward because it let's me pop the yarn balls/skeins/cakes into the sleeve hole to keep them all together and untangled.

The consumableJoy Great Destashing of 2025 is underway. I already have names and addresses of some of you who threw your hats in the ring last year and I didn’t get my sh*t in gear to send stuff out. If you’re interested in getting some random yarn, let me know. If you have restrictions (like “no wool” or “bulky only”) let me know. If you want fiber instead of yarn, there is some available. North America only please. #FiberArts #knitting #crochet @knitting @fiberarts
