Catalog all these "Pokemon", understand their "types" and how they interact, which "moves" are "super effective" against certain "types". They're just priming kids to develop, and adults to consider fondly, the same kind of competencies central to cataloging molecules and determining which other molecules they interact with, and how strongly.

When someone says "With all due respect...", they'll inevitably follow it with an insult. In that case, the person is therefore also implying that the recipient is due NO respect since they're insulting them. Boom, double-roast. It used to be that if we saw an art piece or a cartoon, we would know someone made it for a reason. Even if it was a miscommunication or accident, it had an original intent behind it. It could have even been the deliberate lack of intent. I guess the closest to AI would be drunk/druggy art, but that usually has some kind of learned intent sneaking in.

I think both sides of the aisle would love it, he wouldn't have to go to stupid meetings or handle anything, and he would go out with a huge fan base.

My social media environment (mostly Lemmy for the last year, after I left Reddit) is very leftist. I'm finding myself floating more and more left because y'all have a point and there's not many counter-arguments in this social media environment. I sometimes wonder if that's how MAGA folks feel--floating more and more right because that's what they're surrounded by.

If 2024 was the year of "age verification" let's build on this success and make 2025 the year of height verification. We must develop a consensus about where to draw the line, so that we can finally say "you must be at least *this* tall to use social media."
