Prior to 2007, the ADL described the Armenian genocide as a massacre and an atrocity, but not a genocide.

In 2010, the ADL issued a statement opposing the Park51 Community Center, a proposed Islamic community center and mosque two blocks from the World Trade Center site in New York.

The ADL considers anti-Zionism to be antisemitic.
