New laws being written should be viewed through a Sci Fi lens

Imagine if the US’ forefathers were told there’d be magic lanterns that could be used to see through walls one day when they were writing the 4th Amendment. I figure a lot of our surveillance hell scape could have been avoided.

Honestly they did they expected the Constitution to be updated every twenty years or so to change with the times of the day. The idea of keeping it to what the forefathers wanted is a warped legal doctrine that’s become a religion.
