The West did give Hitler more leeway because of his attacks on communists and socialists.

I love the part where I point out that one of the largest segments of ‘the West’ was literally led by a Communist-socialist Popular Front, and your only response is to bark your idiocy out again.

Yes, I’m sure famous antisemite Henry Ford was conducting US foreign policy towards Germany on economic grounds, and whispering in his well-known political ally FDR’s ear to go easy on the Nazis.

You don’t seem to understand the history, which tracks, if people understood the history we wouldn’t be in this position, ready to hand absolute power to another strongman because our rich are afraid of moderate reform, just as in the roman republic in it’s latter days, just as in Nazi Germany, and just as now.

You might laugh at the thought that industrialists opposed communism and socialism and in doing so enabled fascism in the mistaken belief they could control the monster they made.

Ha ha. I know right, the thought the rich influence western governments, it’s laughable. As if the owners of capital allowed a dictator to take control because they were afraid of communism, it’s incredulous. /s

But I guess moving goalposts from “The West looked the other way because they liked it!” to “Actually, I was just talking about industrialists IN Germany đŸ„ș” is a lot easier than constructing a coherent argument.
