Is there a way to know which app triggered the shortcut call?

Anyone know how to tag an Apple Note with multiple tags?

I made a shortcut that will tell me how many minutes i plyed the game and how much battery i spent for that playing sesion. Its wery usefull to me, so if someone is interested i can share it. I still dont know how to do it but i can find out if someone wants it.

Just wanted to remind the Lemmy community that you can enable and disable portrait mode on a per app basis so you don’t need to manually do it and open the control center each time.

I know some of you are trying to make Spotify autoplay through Shortcuts work, so I’d like to share my fairly simple solution. It helps me to autoplay the latest episode of a „daily news“ podcast (e. g. via lockscreen widget), but you could setup autoplay for any song, playlist or artist too.

If so, what data have you been getting? I just tried it and it seems like the merchant was empty. I was trying to save presets per merchant in a dictionary and was getting a "no key was provided" error: image.

I use an iPad as my cash register for my business, I am looking for a way to change the Auto-Lock timer while the shop is open to keep the screen from sleeping, then when I close change it to allow it to sleep again.

i have a shortcut tied to my speaker NFC tag that turns on the power strip they are connected to, and sets my phone’s airplay destination to the apple tv that they are plugged into. the apple tv automatically wakes my tv!

Hi, sometimes I get messages from sender without number- there is just sender name in the message (like from bank or microsoft), but no number I can assign contact to. Is there any way I could set custom sound for messages from this sender? I already try adding a contact for this sender (wont work), setting shortcut (automation to play sound) which don’t start automatically for messages. I really need this feature, it was not a problem on android… I’m working as a maintenance engineer and need to react asap if get that kind of message- which is why I need to set custom sound alert (it need to be longer to wake me up if I fall asleep).

I’m very new to shortcuts but excited to learn to make my own.

Anyone else think this would be useful?

Is it possible to create a shortcut that could have 2 or more apps open side by side together in stage manager? E.g., have Ivory, Discord, and Messages open together and specify that Discord takes the right half of the screen and Ivory and Messages split the left half.

Pretty much title. I have to be in call certain days from 12-5 sometimes 12-7, and I’m worried about not waking up with the call. I don’t want to just make my ringtone something obnoxious. Is there a way to set it so an alarm sound will go off when I get a call between certain days/times?

Is it possible to actually run an automation by itself? Right now I got one set up that adds a reminder upon receiving a certain kind of email. But when I get the email I still have to click it to run the automation.

I now have sometimes (!) the issue that it triggers the outlet (Meross brand) on and then right away off again. So odd! It’s supposed to go on when fitness focus comes on and off when fitness focus is disabled.

I got a message a couple of times now over night that a shortcut was activated. I am pretty new to this so I don’t have much. I only get these messages on and off now since I created a shortcut that activates when I switch to fitness focus. I have other automations, mostly manually triggered (outlet on/off stuff). And one that is timed for Sunday night. I can’t figure out what triggers these messages now. Like last night at 10:40pm while I was asleep and my sleep mode on.

Hello friends. Shortly before I made the move to iPhone back in the beginning, I had a short stint with Blackberry as my device. One thing I LOVED that the Blackberry did, was Profiles (at least I think that's what it was called). It was a one button push to a menu where I could decide which profile I was using. This "profile" was essentially a settings overhaul, that allowed you to change things like ringer/notification volume, vibration settings, and maybe that was it. Either way, I've been wishing for this function in iOS ever since.
