I believe the bottom-right photo is of her and her long-time romantic partner and choreographer, Marion Morgan.

Wow, she’s a significant filmmaker that I hadn’t heard of before. I mean, I was initially wowed by stuff like this…

Arzner made a total of twenty films between 1927 and 1943 and launched the careers of a number of Hollywood actresses, including Katharine Hepburn, Rosalind Russell, and Lucille Ball.

… but her films and career sound quite interesting and even innovative at times.

Also, props to Cecil for being very gracious about getting her started.
