So for reasons previously touched upon, Tuvalu is going to disappear in the next century. Because it's required as per protocol, they want to transfer themselves into the informational world as a substitute for what they need to keep all the perks of sovereignty (that moment when we get both such a nation and a Muslim pope before we get GTA 6). This, of course, doesn't come without its own challenges, such as exploitation by bad actors. So I was thinking... what if, in this state of existence, they were federated, mastodon-style? Would this win in the win-win department?

They brought them out front and center at my local supermarket, and either they are selling like hotcakes that are constantly being replenished.... or literally no one is buying.

Had a policy with them on a CBR 125, provisional license. Over halfway in to the policy and I'm getting a new bike after passing the full bike license tests, so I call to ask for costs on moving the policy over to the new one.

I understand there's a right to camp in most places in the highlands, as long as you leave no trace and don't cause a disturbance. My partner and I want to go camping in the Highlands for a weekend, but we have an idea to go somewhere completely remote where there are no other people at all. So it will just be us and the hills and no disturbances. So obviously not *campsites*, but accessible areas where we could just set down and pitch a tent. We don't mind if we have to hike a little to find a good spot away from roads.

I've grown up and lived in a medium sized town in the Midlands most of my life. During my late teens, 20s, and early 30s I've always enjoyed weekends away in Manchester, Birmingham, and London a few times a year, visiting friends and going to events.

This year, like every year, I have spunked a truly obscene amount of money away on anonymous Valentine’s gifts.

We got here (Blackburn) on Tuesday, but we are only here temporarily while I look for work. Right now, she is talking to her U.S. friends online until after midnight, which means she will not get used to the time change at all and isn't really finding a way to learn about cultural norms, so I want her to find people here to talk to in order to make those less of a problem. Since we're only here temporarily, her making local friends might not be the best plan, so I'm hoping people here might have kids that would be interested in getting in touch online.

Today I was reading about a band I hadn't heard of (Republic of Loose) and thought the singer looked like someone I had seen in a music video for another band.

My in-laws are at me again for what I want for Christmas. They're very big on gifts. I mostly want some new joy cons for my Switch because mine have surrendered to stick drift. I can't believe they don't sell plain black ones any more.

I am emigrating from the U.S. because my daughter is queer and I don't think she is safe under Trump. She won't be totally safe in the UK either, I understand that, but it's as safe as I can get her right now.
