The most elusive of my girlfriends cats, sadly she was completely ignored by her former owners. She basically lives on the stairs and the upper hallway. She's sweet at heart and lets me give her five seconds of pets at most when I bribe her with a treat. Shes so elusive that this picture is a still from a video so excuse the quality.

13 years ago when my wife and I were getting ready to move in together, my mother's barn cat had kittens and she tried to tame one for us. She only managed to keep one and wasn't sure if we'd want her because "she isn't very friendly" and "she's such an ugly kitten". As I try to remember the last time I read a book without this beautiful cat on my lap, it occurs that my mother may have never been more wrong in her entire life.

Meet Freya, a 2yo Cornish Rex. (Not to be confused with Freyja, our 8mo old Lykoi.) We drove 12.5 hours to pick her and her step-sister up, through the tornadoes and storms that crossed Texas and Louisiana last week. We got Freya last week from a woman in Texas who had to rehome her beloved cats, Freya and Valkyrie (Valkyrie is a 2yo Sphynx that I haven't been able to get a good photo of yet). Their former caretaker felt she would be unable to take care of them because she was about to become a single mom. As in, she is due in about a month.
