See title. Basically, I’ve been searching for specifically Paradise worlds – ie., Lush planets with few Sentinels. But it seems I never come across any of them.

I just completed my second chronophagy ritual in my current colony and it “healed” the guy’s scarred eye. Everyone was pleased, of course, because he’d been blind up to that point. But he’d gained that scar in a tussle with a megasloth. How does this healing work, I wondered. Then I realized that the the bioferrite he’d been holding hadn’t been an offering but a beacon. What does super-intelligent, artificial planet want with a small lump of metal? In fact, I concluded, my colonist was likely taken and replaced with a younger copy. Is it a construct, a body abducted from another dimension with a copy of my colonist’s mind overlayed, or something else? I don’t know, but so many possibilities fit the Anomaly theme more than “age -8 years and scar removed.” And what happened to my original guy? What horrors awaited him in the archonexus’s maw? I wonder.

Most of us are familiar with the lines that our characters say when we select them via their portraits, but have you ever spent several seconds repeatedly clicking the same portrait? Do it enough times, and they might say something you’ve never heard before.

Edit: Running through Steam fixed it. I guess it pulled in some library that I had missed.

Just getting started, and I’m noticing that the first two systems I’ve visited have been abandoned. Is this like Adrift? I just visited the Anomaly, and it is also eerily silent, no other players visible.

I ran Ball Lightning till Paragon 200, took my Mythics, slapped em on a Druid and started slapping puddles… which is SO SATISFYING. Big numbers make happy brain feels

There isn’t any obvious way to either see where your low-ass level gang can quest next and there’s also no zone where you can keep grinding to build a few levels before moving on like in a Final Fantasy or something. That means while you have a giant freely accessible map, early encounters in the wrong neighbourhood will kill you dead anyway so there’s still railroading going on.

every now and then i see “speedruns” like “beat the end in 20 seconds” but the process involves like a hundred quit/reload abuses to dupe items or similar. how can this be counted as a speedrun??? if you tried that on real hardware you’d be waiting an hour for all the load times, i dont think its fair to just handwave them away to nothing. maybe add a fixed “load time” penalty instead of treating it as zero.

Anyone have recommendations on map packs for DOOM 1? Conversions you enjoy?

Ok maybe I’m just a stupid noob but I can’t figure out what happened here:

Once I enter the mid-game it gets annoyingly difficult to find things in the various lists of craftable items. This is especially true at the trailering bench. I know there’s at least one mod that puts categories in the list, but I’m not interested in adding more clicks; I like having it all in one list, but I didn’t understand why it isn’t alphabetized. After a couple thousand hours, I finally realized that headgear is mostly first, but from there the order appears random. I generally know what I want to build, so I would like to be able to open that list and find, for example, button-down shirts towards the top, and tribalwear towards the bottom. Anyone know of a mod that does this?

Last night I was playing sims 4, trying to make happy my couple weeks maried sims, which they just had a baby, and everything started to break down. sinks to fridge would go bad. I passed 2-3 days in game of hell. Sometimes this game gets really crazy and intense.

i might play vanilla survival soon at the latest version but i dont like the removal of getting good enchants from librarians, any mod that brings it back?

Apologies if this sort of post isn’t allowed. So I’ve given BG3 a go two times now. Both times I’ve been excited and expected that it’s likely something I’ll be into. But I get down to it and I just lose steam with it pretty quickly
