Like “not microwave safe” “not dishwasher safe” “for suppository use only” The discussion was prompted by another library where a patron got their book wet, tried to dry it out in the microwave, and the metallic RFID tag destroyed both the microwave and the book.

I'm not sure how they decided on the "for suppository use only" recommendation, but who am I to argue with librarians? 😜😂

I just discovered the term "bookdragon” and I have never felt more seen in my life. Unlike a bookworm, who reads like their little life depends on it, a bookdragon hoards books like treasure. I used to hink I was a bookworm, but now I know that I was very, very wrong. Mindblowing.

Anything that's invented between when you're fifteen and thirty-five is new and exciting and revolutionary and you can probablu get a career in it. 3. Anything invented after you're thirty-five is against the natural order of things.

I love this ruleset 😁But I would add that it's also true for social progress.Together with an ever faster changing world, it goes a long way to explaining why the gaps in understanding between generations seem to get bigger and bigger🤔

[AITA] My playgroup defederated with me

So my playgroup used to play at our friend Chris's house, but lately we had to leave due to his iron-fist policy regarding "leaving with our deck instead of letting him keep them at his house". One of my friends had heard of the "USS Federationverse", and it sounded kinda the same so we all immediately jumped in!
