nutomic@lemmy.ml reported a federation issue with a NodeBB instance and we debugged it. It turns out Lemmy is unable to handle actors who have image or icon set to null.

Request to add mods to the NodeInfo spec so we can all know how many moderators are handing content moderation on any given instance in the fediverse. October 2025 ForumWG Meeting

We’re excited to announce that #Fedify has been awarded a service agreement by the @sovtechfund@mastodon.social! The Sovereign Tech Fund is investing €192,000 in Fedify’s development over 2025–2026 to strengthen the fediverse ecosystem.

FediForum is coming up. It's an unconference, so the agenda is set by the attendees, but we do know that it will be unmissable, featuring a keynote from @ben and sessions from people like @quillmatiq, @j12t, @johannab and more. Here's the schedule, plus some of what's on the cards.

We have just released v4.6.0 of NodeBB, containing fixes to our ActivityPub integration, minor fixes with SCSS, and some new functionality with topic templating.
