It's not an aardvark. It's not a wolf. It's an aardwolf: a small, insectivorous mammal, native to East and Southern Africa

Well that's a baby, they're not all that small.

Looks like a cross between a chihuahua and a zebra lol

Chihuabra

Zebruahua is when the mother is the zebra. :)

Looks like a first attempt at conjuring a direwolf

It's a dire chihuahua

That's the funniest shit I've heard in awhile and I will use it as my Lemmy jumping off point for the day.

Remember to look at a few things that leave you feeling at least kind of ok, Lemmy.

Nothing to do with an aardvark - "aard" means "earth". "Aardvark" translates to "earth pig."

Earth as in dirt/ground. So Aardvark translates literally to Groundhog.

The aardwolf* (Proteles cristatus[3]) is an insectivorous hyaenid species, native to East and Southern Africa. Its name means "earth-wolf" in Afrikaans and Dutch.[4][5] It is also called the *maanhaar-jackal*[6][7] (Afrikaans for "mane-jackal"), *termite-eating hyena*[8] and *civet hyena, based on its habit of secreting substances from its anal gland, a characteristic shared with the African civet.[9]
