I wonder who is gonna host all those fediverse videos for free...For me that's a barrier to make peertube more popular
They sound kind of shady, TOS for them is a bit rough.
My account got activated but I still can't see any videos or anything. Its just an empty settings page.
So far, there is only some user settings accessible in the web interface. I don't have an iPhone, hence I cannot say for their app. The android app will come later, apparently.
I don't give a shit about TikTok or short form video but legitimately how is this expected to succeed with these limitations? Clearly people like this stuff but can a fediverse service really afford to be iPhone only? This truly seems doomed to fail.
The android apk should be here this weekend. It's a one man team working on the development atm.
Honestly that's great news, but wouldn't a web version have made wayyyyyyy more sense?
I signed up for an account, but when I go to login it says I’m using the wrong credentials. I’m using a password manager so I don’t think that is possible. Tried a few times now, and even tried to register again. Anyone seeing the same issue?
I believe you still need to wait for your account to be confirmed, you will receive an email after sometime I believe.
How long is some time, are we talking hours or days?
I’m confused, is it Fediverse service? If so how I find instances? Why app only leads to this specific instance only?
This is in heavy development, federation has not been enabled yet and the server source code is not available for now, bit it is just a matter off time, for now there is only one main instance

The webpage OP linked says "We're not accepting new users at this time.", so it's not surprising. They need additional instances to take on the burden of actually hosting the content, as they continue the software development.
I'm unable to post a video through the app, and I've tried logging into the website to see if there's an update, but it just sits there when I click 'login' - no error.
Are there any known issues? (My app is version 1.0.0.9 and I'm on the latest version of Android).
EDIT: I wasn't using my email address to log into the website. Once in, I was able to download version 1.0.0.11 and it worked.
