I imagine that from a exec's perspective, this is a slam dunk. He's got three other film adaptations of his books, the blind side (problematic), moneyball (loved it), and the big short (also loved it). Plus, people can't help but fawn over these techbro billionaires, especially when they are depicted in film.

see, I don’t know Lena’s work well enough to know if maybe “she has ballooned” is a multi-layered reference that only looks like shallow, shitty body shaming if you don’t get the in-joke
