GNOME's streaming radio app is... really good

Shortwave is a Rust-based streaming radio (IP radio/internet radio) application written by Felix Häcker, and it's my favorite way to manage my streaming radio stations on Linux. It's a GNOME Circle application but I use it on KDE Plasma and Sway, and it works fine over there (for me anyway). Maybe you'll like it!

@vkc hey Veronica, first-time listener! Love the format thank you for sharing :) I wish I still had my 8 bit computers. I'm totally saving that OGG, and I'm gonna share it with my frens! 😂
@vkc
Veronica: "... Using it, is probably the most straight-forward thing I've ever shown on this channel"
I assumed that would be true while watching. But now, some weeks later, when I finally installed the app, I needed to rewatch your video to figure out how to add a station to my library 😂
(You have to click on the name of the station in the results. If you only click the play icon, you will never find an "add to library" button)
Thanks for the video!
@vkc Don't save that ogg!

Shorwave hands down is the best internet radio for Linux. Sadly the UI is completely broken on my main system due to my customization that I obviously shouldn't do, since the gtk devs started to warn the users, stating clearly "Stop customizing GTK apps".
So I left with my trusty cli internet radio player PyRadio that has the same internet radio browser thingy baked into it. Although sometimes I still miss Shortwave but it is what it is, it's totally on me that I can't use it.
If it was asked the internet radio stations that I enjoy other then most of the soma.fm stations, as it was mentioned in the video too qUAntUM RaDio is another great one I have more stations that play chiptune saved into my player's playlist there's Nectarine, Kohina and RainWave. Other then those I enjoy listening nightride.fm especially their stations that play synthwave and there's Refuge Worldwide that plays world music, but they have full on radio programming I just thought I should mention it if that's something that makes it a deal breaker.
Don't save that ogg ⁉️
