Signal is still too centralized, I recommend Matrix instead: self hosted, highly secured (diplomatic level of security since France and Germany use it for there exchange with their diplomats in not secured countries), decentralized, completely open source with a high variety of clients.
For Images I would recommand using Nextcloud on top of your NAS.
For Discord, since it's owned by Tencent with the curious eyes of the CCP over it shoulder my recommandation is just to ditch it.
For music: an instance of Funkwhale on a raspberry pi 5!
