So this will be my first time getting drunk drunk, and my friend is a year older than me and has done it several times before. so ive seen several nicknames for my name, veronika. ive seen vero, vera, ronnie, and even nika. however, i live in the united states so im scared that if i have teachers call me nika, kids will “think” im calling myself a racial slur (the n-word) even tho i went to middle school with a nika/nikka (i forgot how to spell her name). i’m nonbinary, so ronnie could work for being short for ron, maybe aaron or veronika/veronica, but i dont really like masculine terms even tho there are plenty of girls named ronnie.

I recently bought a Dell Latitude 7430 with an i7-1265u, 10 cores, 1.8Ghz, 16gb of (I think) DDR4 RAM, and a 256GB SSD for 250$. I still have time to return the machine. I was wondering whether I got a good deal here or not.

I wonder if the majority of people on here spend more than 13 hours a day. It seems crazy to me spending that much time looking at screens but when I see how much time some programming projects take I think wow, they must be looking at screens 80 hours a week to pull this work off.

So, not sure if I’m making myself clear, but I recently just witnessed a female RJ45 jack need to be reterminated since it was only receiving PoE but not data. This is probably because the PoE pairs still function with connectors 1 to 8 reversed. We know this because our cable tester showed each conductor reversed with a reflector plugged in. As in, 1-8 should’ve mapped to 1-8 but instead mapped to 8-1. A coworker of mine pulled the head off and examined the pairs, but each color and stripe matched perfectly.
