Only so little? I imagined in a world of billions of people there would be millions of scientists advocating for this. Besides the ethical reasons of not killing non human animals
Unfortunately there are way too many hypocritical environmentalists that are against veganism.

5k germans died from the last heatwave thanks to animal farming and fossil fuels.
I’ve always figured cows would be out in my lifetime, but chickens will likely burn down with the rest of us.
How many of those scientists are or are going vegan?
I could switch to a rich/wealthy meat only diet. That would probably be even better than swearing off all meat entirely.
At least lower consumption. I rarely eat meat nowadays. Tops once a week and usually fish. But I still think a burger is great or a nice beef tartar.

That’s unfortunate, yet not a separate issue from animal farming. They are interconnected, and we can’t fix one without fixing the other.
To get to the point where society pressures ruling class to ban airplanes despite best lobbying efforts, we need to shift the Overton window.
Right now, the Overton window is rather conservative, with most people considering any climate action that requires slightest drop in quality of life completely unacceptable.
Every successful radical climate action, including veganism, helps normalize idea of nature preservation over convenience in public consciousness, so movement can eventually take on more entrenched capital protected interests like jets.
Again with the whatboutism.
If there are only 25,000 scientists in the world, then I take this seriously. If there are a million scientists in the world then it’s harder to take it seriously. So, how many scientists are there in the world today (don’t count the ones being paid off by big money interests)?
Try comparing it to the number of scientists telling you not to be vegan
That’s why I don’t trust toothpaste adds. I personally know more than 10 dentists! So, how many there are in reality?? I bet at least, 50. What do I care what 9 say then?
