They’re pretty great, and they are more comfortable on my giant ears than my girlfriend’s Beats over ear phones. The noise cancelling is also better than the Beats. That said, the Beats still sound pretty darn good, and the Sonys don’t sound and fit better enough to justify spending 2.5 times what the Beats over ears cost. Just my 2.5 cents. I realize this is not technically Apple whinging, but I figure there’s probably a decent number of people here who like headphones and audio 🤷‍♂️.

They sound like shit, the noise cancellation is disturbing (the other modes are also unsettling), and the left one hurts my ear hole after only a few minutes. I already printed the return label. This is the first time I have ever returned an Apple product.

Because as far as I can tell, it’s a gimmicky dumpster fire, and I’m pretty sure everything is worse. And my battery life is awful. I looked into rolling the OS back, and apparently it’s not feasible. I may switch back to my iPhone 13 as my daily driver.

I thought maybe it was something to do with Apple Intelligence, so I turned it off. And the luminous bulging persisted.

I use a lot of programming and sef hosting things at home. I have to enter passwords and write basic text files which have to be accurately read by all devices.

Siri’s spoken responses like “OKAY” after turning off lights are often unnecessary and disruptive—especially at night. I know the lights have turned off; I can see it. But Siri insists on announcing it anyway, even when it’s late and the room is dark. And she DOESN’T do this in the the day!

How do people help MacOS GUI applications find user-installed executables on the system?

recently, i've been trying to make my way out of the apple ecosystem. im on the verge of deleting my apple account, but cant find a way to use airtags wo an apple account. i think that may be the only constraint.

I just tried to create a basic Shortcut that opens a YouTube link in Brave and strips out some tracking junk. In theory, this is what the Shortcuts app is made for. In reality, I feel like I was trapped in a procedurally generated UI puzzle designed by someone who hates their own users.
