Quick steps to delete an Instagram account
Open the Instagram app
On your profile, click on the hamburger menu
Under Settings and activity, click Accounts center
Click Personal details
Click Account ownership and control
Click Deactivation or deletion
Select the Meta account you want to delete
Select Delete account & click Continue
Select a reason & click Continue
Click Continue again
Enter password & click Continue
I deleted my socials a little over a year ago and my mental health has skyrocketed. Got lemmy recently for news and stuff.

I definitely have caught myself getting a little too invested in comments once or twice. But so far its been okay. Probably going to abandon/delete this account eventually and go back to lurking

I’ve been on PixelFed for a couple of years and it works really well. My instance, metapixl.com, is small but mighty and federates with most of the rest of the fediverse.
