(content in post body)

There seems to be an issue with pulling in post titles sometimes, either from Lemmy or other PieFed instances, resulting in the text “(content in post body)” rather than the actual title.
Here are several examples to help diagnose: https://piefed.social/post/2189717/comment/12017862 (you’ll need to scroll down, the list is in the comment below, not the post, but for some reason clicking the link starts up at the top).
Thank you for taking a look!
(I’ll mark this post as a “Question”, as in when will this be fixed?:-)

Yep, seen em. Thanks :)
All 3 of the examples listed in the comments section - within the post you linked - only submitted hyperlinks as their complete body of content.
Interesting. Yet PieFed.ca seems to handle that input differently from PieFed.social, displaying a different title and thereby causing confusion among users to see such a discrepancy.

PieFed reinterprets all links as being to your local instance, PieFed.social for you. That’s usually extremely helpful - a highly requested feature for a very long time on Lemmy!!
To get around that, click the 3-dot menu on the right and choose “View original on PieFed.ca”.

I believe I’ve probably solved this now but it relies on other instances upgrading to the latest code which could take a few days.
Yeah the discrepancy between instance handling is a large part of this.
Congrats!
