Does piefed support following users?

There are people on mastodon, mbin and other places that “microblog” into the fediverse and I’m wondering whether it’s possible to follow them on piefed

I believe Rimu said that following users would be possible in the next update. Not positive when the update is coming, but probably next couple weeks or sooner.
