It's a stat-raising dating sim inspired by classic otome games like Tokimeki Memorial! There's also a kickstarter campaign running atm so I checked it out. Normally this should be totally my thing, but I was honestly kind of underwhelmed :/

Where do you play otome games most often?

Arcana Famiglia Rinato release date: July 24th

Developers/Publishers HuneX and Dramatic Create revealed today on their social media as well as in the March edition of B’s-Log magazine, that the otome game Arcana Famiglia Rinsto will be released on July 24, 2025, for the Nintendo Switch. The game will include Japanese, English, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese language options, while voiceovers will remain in Japanese. The game will also have a Steam version which will be announced at a later date.

I figured a person who seems to be trying to be a new creator of otome-related content (in this case reviews) could use a boost, especially since the only consistent reviewers I can think of off the top of my head are otomekitten and blerdyotome.

Otome and Interactive Fiction Overlap

Typically we think of otome games as visual novels. But I have played quite a few text-based games where you can play as a woman with a bunch of (male) love interests. Usually no or few images, definitely no CGs, but your choices affect the story and often characters' opinions of you. Some are more focused on the relationships, some less. I was wondering how many people play otome who also play these interactive fiction games, or vice versa, how much the audience for both overlaps. Was also wondering if some IF might qualify as otome.
