Recently I found myself snickering about an interview where he was talking up simple escapist sitcoms - I think Green Acres? - because it was a respite from every other channel talking about stressful day-to-day news. He’d always have an advantage in that distinction. The interviewer asks, ‘Well what if everyone else started showing Green Acres?,’ and Ted laughs, ‘I’d be fine, dummy, I’d just show the news!’
