An ocean of distance is a hell of a defense

Sweden that was untouched in WW2 got an enormous boost out of that. The USA too.

But it looks like countries are catching up.

This is a very confusing meme if you recognize the characters and try to think of how the title relates to their stories before realizing that the actors/characters don’t mean anything in particular.

Countries of Western Europe also took their sweet time before they actually joined in. Poland was supported by thoughts and prayers for a very long period - pretty much until other countries were attacked directly.
