Off My Chest

i feel like satan or some demon is inside me like i said. i must repent. i must pay for my sins. i must make an offering to the lord. idk why i feel this way. 😭

i'm genuinely starting to believe that some sort of demon or satan himself is inside me. i know it's not real and i should get help, which i am getting, but i just needed some comfort or perhaps anecdotes. no criticism please and i don't think i need advice, i'm getting help and i will talk to someone. it feels like a demon is giving me urges to say mean things i normally wouldnt say. i'm crazy aren't i?

at first, when my dad just started introducing me to her, who was then his girlfriend, she wasn't ready to be a stepmom. she got stressed and took it out on my sister and me. later, she started to warm up to my sister and really see her as an intelligent, kind person (which she is). me, on the other hand, she didn't see that way. she saw me as "goofy", "not all here in my head", "not quite right", etc.

I started the year with a goal to lose 40-50 pounds, and this morning, I am at -26.

They said "my bad, you're at 0 now". I know there's worse in life, I'm still fucking pissed.

So, it kind of sucks. I'm a caretaker alter in a system. Our bio dad doesn't consider me to be his daughter, only the host, but the rest of the family indeed sees me as their daughter. That's why I'll say bio dad and not just dad.

I know, I get it. Echo chambers are bad m'kay?

So, I remember this one lady some of my friends were friends with. She seemed really sweet and kind, was pretty popular with the guys in our circle and platonically the ladies.

I'm not even sure I can explain this to myself in a sufficiently coherent manner, it may be the biggest cognitive dissonance I've ever had to digest.

Today I did it. I tried one last time to get through to him. He's a Jew. I showed him a verse from the bible (Leviticus 19:33) that says to relate to a foreigner like one of your own, as we were foreigners in egypt. He doesn't care, tried to make up semantics about why It doesn't mean that.

i hate to use the term lightly just to throw it around and to complain about reddit, but of course, i need to get it off my chest. for those who haven't seen my posts, i'm transmasc and gay/bi. i'm part of the lgbtq+ community. there was a post i saw asking if it was transphobic, as a gay man, to not like trans men, and some responses just said it was his preference, while others said "yeah, because gay men don't date women" and the like.

now, i don't know if it's such a big deal, i'm (a trans man) just getting it "off my chest" (that's why i posted here). i love my boyfriend, but sometimes i wish he talked more to me. i understand, though. he's been struggling with mental health, but even when he says he's happy, he barely has any time for me because he's playing video games. he didn't even want to put the game down to say hi to me or text me because he thought it was annoying to do so, so i told him i'd let him play the game. i understand he plays games when he's bored or to cope with his life and depression, but he barely talks to me because that's how much he loves video games. we talk a few times per day and he says stuff like that"hi, i love you" "you're so handsome" but other than that, not really anything.

We're currently short on rent because of her. I've got to somehow magick up $200 to cover rent until she can pay me (and the few people I've had to borrow money from) back on the 7th. I had to ask the landlord in the past and he was okay with it but increasingly less so, understandably. My name is on the lease and I'm the one responsible for this. She hasn't had a job for a while and I've been pestering her to fill out forms for income support or even apply but she was dragging her feet. Now combine that with the fact that I'm the only one who cleans in the house. For a year I've been asking her to clean dishes and she won't unless zero other options are presented. I've been asking her to turn the lights/fan off in the bathroom when she leaves and she doesn't. I've been asking her to take out garbage that's by the door when it's ready to go out and she doesn't. I've been asking her to contribute at all to the state of the house and she doesn't. I love her and I know she cares about me because there's a ton of other stuff that proves she does but I can't say that I'm not feeling INCREDIBLY used here. I don't know how to go about talking with her about this. When I have in the past she says to use post it notes because she's forgetful so I started and it works a couple of times and then that's it. I don't even know how the fuck i'm going to feed the cat this weekend. I've got enough to last a couple of days and fairly sure i've got wet food she's picky on but will eat for a couple more. She's in on a discord call with someone and I hear laughing occasionally. And like I'm not faulting her for being happy or shedding stress or anything. I've been posting memes today and making comments. But it just... I don't know.

My fiancée does not know how to order off a menu. Actually she does, she doesn't care to order from a menu like most people do.

I hate my stupid mental issues so much, I think people hate me and if my S/O's tone slightly changes, I think he hates me or I did something wrong and then I feel manipulative. I get angry so quickly, IDK what the hell is wrong with me but I hate it. I know I'm just a teen (18) but still. I wish I was normal.

I signed up for a course for, like, social anxiety/social skills, and BY GOD does it feel like an MLM. I know it's probably actually helpful and well thought out, but they've tried to upsell me twice so far and have referred to the power of their "inner circle" and it's kind of getting on my nerves. I'm not easily affected by dark patterns like these, and it's so annoying that they're trying to get me like this.

i'm gay and he and i are both in our early 20s. hes addicted to gaming and barely wanted to talk to me. he got mad and "didn't wanna talk to me every day or 24/7" but then he said he was sorry for saying that.

It’s supposed to help our attachment to each other and mental health to take a break, but we’re gonna miss each other deeply. I was sad before and we were talking so much but I had a PTSD breakdown and now we’re not gonna speak to each other. At least it will be 24 hours sending like one message to each other but I think I’ll cry more.

Now, I have a chance to work more on myself. I don’t think I was right for her or to have any sort of commitment. Plus, I couldn’t even appreciate the things that made her happy. I apologized but I felt so bad.

Ever since I was a child, I would have emotional outbursts. i have a bad fear of abandonment complete with severe attachment to my fiancée.

So I guess my parents are getting divorced for real this time. I've only gotten like 3 hours of sleep in the last two days, and now I'm sitting wondering if I have the strength to call my dad, who will probably die of sheer heartbreak either way.

Last night was the first night in more than a month that my best friend and I hung out. It was for her 40th birthday. For background, everyone but me in our friend group is Vietnamese. So when people started showing up, they spoke Vietnamese only. This is fine, I get it. They’d rather speak their mother tongue around me. Even if that means I don’t understand a word anyone is saying. I’ve brought this up to her, only for her to turn it around me as if somehow it is my fault for not joining a conversation that I have no frame of reference to. Whatever, it is what it is.

So I've got laid off recently and I decided I wanted to keep my projects that I worked on as a reference for myself, I wouldn't sell them or anything like that, just bits of code I created. So I just went and copied pretty much everything relevant to me off my work laptop, only local files, nothing really super confidential, just code projects for specific inhouse usage and documentation about them. Also my personal folders where I did have a few personal things as well, just so I don't lose access to those. I wouldn't have used it for anything but personal reference, like I wouldn't even know what else to do with it. Stupid, I know. Well, they found out, with some DLP software I didn't know we had. So now I will have to go and meet, my bosses, hr and legal. Don't know how that is going to go, I will just say I'm sorry, I deleted everything in a panic, which probably was also dumb, but I'll bring my laptop and the wiped drive that I used. I am just really really nervous and I could throw up.

I did say I haven’t spoken to him since he moved out of the house to a hotel. This is true.

I don’t know where to put this.

I just don’t care if we survive as a species. We aren’t surviving forever. I care about having a good time while we can. I don’t think having ten billion people with 99% of them being poor is good. I don’t think 20 billion forced to eat bugs and die of treatable disease is good. I don’t think having kids just to have kids and keep the species going is good.

On Monday I have a meeting with my boss and his boss. They wouldn't say what for, only that "I shouldn't worry". Which makes me ABSOLUTELY worry. Don't think I'll be fired but I'll probably be put on a PIP or something.

And look I grew up watching like cheesy Mormon missionary made movies, so I’ve seen some terrible movies. In fact, this movie did kind of remind me of those except unlike those, it had like 0 intentional OR accidental comedy.

My grandfather had a work shop that collapsed and he had about $300K of metal working equipment in the shop. Back in 2019, I was broken up by my ex which pretty much destroyed me. Well, long story short...2 years later I met someone and against my best judgement we entered a relationship.

I have a couple of them, but to be honest I'm not even sure if I like them more, or less, than rubber membrane keyboards. There's kind of a sharpness to the sounds they usually produce, almost a kind of plastic-on-plastic squeek, and I find that unpleasant. If I could afford it, or if they were affordable, I might give a Topre keyboard a try, but to be honest I really don't care enough about keyboards to worry about that.

Hi. I’m a Christian Polish (and Dutch) man (20M) who’s been outright terrible for years. I, like other people I’ve known, have been rather traditional. Patriotic and bigoted, you know the type. However, there was one thing I always thought was wrong with me: I’m attracted to men.

What i mean with the title is: Mothers often feel as if they can't be successful themselves, due to their role as a mother. So, they try to make their child(ren) "successful" in their place. What that entails is a strict, hierarchical upbringing and a lot of "discipline" for the child(ren). As a direct consequence, the child(ren) have significantly reduced Quality Of Life, to the point of many committing suicide, and as such they are definitely a thing that can end lifes, or personal worlds (for the children). As such, they are clearly one of the "horsemen of the apocalypse".

So a lot of this I recognize has more to do with me than others, but wanted to get it out somewhere.

She's one of my former workmates from my second-to-last job. She's a fucking weirdo, but she's my kind of weirdo. All grim and trash Goth, deals with crystals and Wiccan stuff, which I like as lore and nothing more, but I love about her. She annoys me in all the right ways.

I’m German. The USA made it possible for me to grow up in a functional democracy. Hundreds of thousands of Americans died so I could have that privilege. They died fighting for my unborn ass's rights, against my grandparents' fellows. Fortunately, my grandparents weren’t involved in killing them, but that was pure chance. Growing up, the USA was the shining beacon in the west. The country that was so much better, freer and cooler than mine. I learnt English listening to American Forces Network, the radio station of the US armed forces in Germany, every night. Literally my main goal in life was to be able to one day move to the USA and become a citizen. I lived in the USA for one year pre-9/11 and could hardly wait to finish my studies and maybe one day acquire a Green Card. But after 2001 (damn, that’s already 24 years ago), it started to turn. I celebrated when the German chancellor refused to support the USA in the illegal invasion of Iraq. Then I stayed up every night, watching the live footage from the reporters embedded with the invasion forces. It was awesome. It was awful. Nowadays it’s just the latter. Trump v1 was a fluke, Trump v2 put the USA on the same level as Russia for me. (I know enough Russians to know the situation is comparable. Russians aren’t one single bit more evil or more complacent than US Americans in 2025. And neither are Chinese.)

Yeah having a job is So Grown for me, a worthless thing below society, but not having a job makes me a burden. Showering is So Fancy but not showering makes me a burden. Doing my chores and being responsible is So Wannabe Grown but if I don't do them I'm a burden. What is the point of living if I get bullied for everything I do because it's "trying to be grown" at fucking 26 years old? Right it's so funny that I want to be grown up so badly that I work a job and take care of my body, that's so fucking funny. I really should have killed myself when I originally wanted to at 7 to spare myself from twenty more years of the same bullying and abuse.
