So, I was thinking, what if we release Komodo dragons into the Florida swamps? Hear me out!

First off all let’s get one thing straight- there’s too many people on this planet, and we’re all fat. I think the most compelling argument would be, here, that you could create a new disruptive technology that would save money and cut costs.

You release the dragons into the swamps of Florida, and they thrive, because they will. They are very resilient. Very fast. Very hungry. And they kind of invade and dominate the wetlands within a few years or so, predating basically everything in there, until there is nothing left.

And that’s the beauty part. Because once they go hungry, because they ate all the snakes, and alligators, and some cats and dogs. Guess what- they now only hunt people, because they ate everything else. And this is the great part, because, since humans won’t no longer be in an apex predator situation, humans would get hunted. They would be scared to leave their houses, they would have to travel in flock, they would exercise, they would mind their surroundings, the benefits are clear to the health care industry that doesn’t only get fewer, but healthier patients, saving the government billions of dollars annually.

“Eh?” should’ve been an option.

I’m glad this is false, bc it was my vote that made the yes into 69: your (sic) welcome.

Yes but purely out of spite for Florida Man and Florida Woman and Florida Enby

Look the voter turnout has been great and I am happy to announce that the Komodo dragons released into the Florida swamps today are thriving as can be!

YES IT IS!

YOU’RE FREE, LITTLE BUDDIES, YOU’RE FREEEEEEEEE!

Why not just make birth control free and super accessible. Also make suicide legal and provide relatively painless methods to all. Also make birth control. If you want to reduce population why not take voluntary methods first.

No but seriously the over-population is a big problem.

I mean, well, sure, that too, I guess. But first let’s see how the Komodo dragon infestation does.

There’s a fair point to be made that the only thing that can stop a bad guy with a gun is a Komodo dragon on steroids.

Sure, gun control could be an option, but it just seems obvious to exhaust more obvious alternatives first.

The fuck you talking about, steroids? That’s hardly fair. Florida man is possibly already on steroids, are you saying we should weaponize the Dragons? Because I say that’s an environmental law issue if there was such a thing anymore. Just let them roam as they were supposed to from the beginning.

I think if you let them roam in the swamps of Florida they might become exposed to a broad variety of what nature has to offer.
