So I never got deep into anime but I’ve been slowly working through my backlog of mostly Studio Ghibli movies and this morning Grave of the Fireflies jumped out as sounding interesting.
I enjoy anime, however, I feel anime has been on a quality decline over the past few years. They are hollow shells of new seasons, clones of other popular anime, generic and uninspired stories, etc.
I love that Let's Go Karaoke is blending thriller elements with comedy and slice of life; the story so far is portrayed in a sensible way so far, I enjoy the nuanced facial expressions and subtler body language. They've nailed Kyoji Narita role in the narrative, I enjoy the blend of conflict/bromance that Satomi Oka is experiencing when interacting with Kyoji.
The Bugle Call is an incredible manga but its at threat of being cancelled. I was recommended this youtube video that explains the situation https://youtu.be/tGnOKJD4flo
So im watching Dead Dead Demon's Dededede Destruction and you have these characters that are seniors in high school that then start university but the way the characters behave if the show did not tell me I would think they were junior high going into high school.
The OVAs are set in the Bubblegum Crisis universe, but I decided to try them out because I knew they were side stories and all pretty short, so it seemed like a way to check out part of the franchise without having to invest into watching a whole show.
