the title is just for disclosures and gauge how receptive this community is, but I want to help a peaceful leftist movement and promote class solidarity at the same time. so there’s two things we should bring every protest to show solidarity both in and out of a protest and its gauze and CAT tourniquets if someone asks why you have it then you say to “save another life”. plus you can give out sealed gauze for cheap and wear tourniquets as a show of solidarity.
Protest in fort Walton Beach Florida about 300 people at most. Got lots of love from traffic. Had one guy play vanilla ice, really old guy use the f slur, and my favorite was being called domestic terrorist. Had fun chanting back “love makes America great”. Got some people to flip us off.

Massive turnout, by the time the march got back to the capitol it wrapped around to the end of the group and kept going. Every bus, train, and shop in downtown was filled with people holding signs and flags. Amazing work everyone!
Around 100 people which was more than I expected. Everyone I talked to was a US citizen. Cool to see where everyone was putting their efforts. Lots of community building. Voting resources. I learned about some more direct work people are doing to improve the situation in Palestine and work with activists in Israel. Others like me just showed up for awhile to add another body and voice to the crowd.

The records, obtained from the Johnson County, Texas Sheriff’s Office by the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) and shared with 404 Media, show the sheriff’s office is able to tap into Flock license plate reading cameras at 173 different Lowe’s locations around the U.S. and that it can tap into cameras and gunshot-detecting microphones at dozens of Home Depot stores within Texas. The records are the latest to shed light on how expansive Flock’s surveillance network has become, and highlights that it includes cameras that are operated by both police and private businesses.
I feel a lot of stuff has not had nearly enough coverage considering. Like the no kings day was huge and it only got mention day of and it blows me away they actually mentioned upcoming ones even if it is same day. Granted I would think the fediverse would be like the core area for planning with this stuff but based on what gets updated its kinda an after thought. At least from what I can see. Im regularly doing searches to see if there is any activity and its pretty sparse. Granted though there is a lot of individual things going on in many locals and many places to possibly post. Although its not like its not bot freindly for multiposting. Its like so many communities were made but whoever made them sorta put up the mission accomplished banners after creation.
Some key steps I take from this: identify decision makers / funders, coordinate organizations to campaign, and perform sustained protests and civil disobedience. Working to close concentration camps seems potentially more feasible than fighting armed goons. ICE conveniently provides a list of their locations so you can see what's in your state.
This Instagram account is making vague claims about an upcoming farm workers strike in California. It would be big if true.

It would be too bad if this backfired and the prison had a bunch of protesters show up now that we know where people are being taken to. Truly terrible...
Just a quick photo we took of the protest. Lots of support from local cars too, even when waiting in heavy traffic due to the protest! Only saw about 3 red hats. The Governor* declared a state of emergency for a completely peaceful protest. Lots of good citizens providing free water and picking up trash when the nearby trash cans had overflown. With my limited ability to count people in a large area I would guess 3k - 5k people. Also a picture of my protest sign which was a big hit!
